Tìm thấy rồi các bác ạ:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC-130  Grin

Trích dẫn
During the Vietnam era the various AC-130 versions following the Pave Pronto modifications were equipped with a Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD) system called the Black Crow (AN/ASD-5), a highly sensitive passive device with a phased-array antenna located in the left-front nose radome that could pick up localized deviations in earth's magnetic field and is normally used to detect submerged submarines. The Black Crow system on the AC-130A/E/H could accurately detect the unshielded ignition coils of Russian trucks driven by the North Vietnamese that were hidden under the dense foliage of the jungle canopy along the Ho Chi Minh trail. It could also detect the signal from a hand-held transmitter that was used by air controllers on the ground to identify and locate specific target types. The system was slaved into the targeting computer.

http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=3223

Trích dẫn
The advanced detection equipment on the AC-130A played an important role in the increased effectiveness of the Spectre gunships. One new mission, designated Pave Sword, teamed the AC-130 and F-4 in a Hunter-Killer team to destroy enemy resources. The AC-130A, in the hunter role, would first detect a target using a combination of onboard sensors: the Black Crow ignition detector, forward looking infrared, low light level television, Night Observation Device, moving target indicator or using offsets from a friendly ground beacon transmitter. Next, the AC-130 would "paint" the target using the laser target designation system. The F-4, in the killer role, would then launch laser guided bombs. The LGBs would then "fly" themselves to the target indicated by the laser spot.

Igloo White

In January 1968, the Dye Marker sensors and other equipment, intended for deployment along the DMZ, were commandeered for the defense of the Marine outpost at Khe Sanh. The sensors were very effective in tracking the enemy at Khe Sanh—even the Marines said so—but, when the siege lifted in April, work on the barrier did not resume.

By then, McNamara was gone, having left office Feb. 29, 1968. The demise of Dye Marker was not made formal and public until March 1969, when Secretary of Defense Melvin R. Laird announced the cancellation of the barrier project, saying, “It did not work out as expected.”

All that remained of the McNamara Line was Igloo White. Ironically, the part that survived belonged to the Air Force, the service that had been most opposed to McNamara’s idea to begin with.

The bombing halt of 1968 marked the end of Rolling Thunder and a change in the direction of the war. The focus of the bombing effort shifted to interdiction of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and Igloo White, newly operational, was there to help.

Igloo White consisted of three parts: the sensors, the orbiting aircraft to relay the signal, and the Infiltration Surveillance Center at Nakhon Phanom Air Base in Thailand.

The sensors—a network of some 20,000 of them—were planted mostly by Navy and Air Force airplanes, although some of them were placed by special operations ground forces. They were dropped in strings of five or six to be sure that at least three sensors in each string would survive and be activated. The sensors operated on batteries, which ran down after a few weeks, so replacement sensors had to be dropped.

Most of the sensors were either acoustic or seismic. There were two kinds of acoustic sensors, both derived from the Navy’s Sonobuoy, to which microphones and batteries were added. These sensors could hear both vehicles and voices.

The Acoubuoy (36 inches long, 26 pounds) floated down by camouflaged parachute and caught in the trees, where it hung to listen. The Spikebuoy (66 inches long, 40 pounds) planted itself in the ground like a lawn dart. Only the antenna, which looked like the stalks of weeds, was left showing above ground.

The ADSID (Air-Delivered Seismic Intrusion Detector) sensed earth motion to detect people and vehicles. It resembled the Spikebuoy, except it was smaller and lighter (31 inches long, 25 pounds). It was the most widely used sensor in the program.

The challenge for the seismic sensors (and for the analysts) was not so much in detecting the people and the trucks as it was in separating out the false alarms generated by wind, thunder, rain, earth tremors, and animals—especially frogs.

There were other kinds of sensors as well. One of them was the “people sniffer,” which chemically sensed sweat and urine.

...
Đặc điểm: AN/PPS-6 là loại radar cỡ nhỏ do 2 - 3 người mang vác, sử dụng, tầm gần chủ yếu trinh sát mục tiêu mặt đất.

I served with the 25th Infantry Division Artillery, along the Cambodian border, from 4/69 to 4/70.  My 5-man team operated a small, mobile, ground surveillance radar system out of various FSB's and ATSB's.  Our job was to detect enemy infiltration from the Ho Chi Minh trail.  We reported the coordinates of any targets we detected back to TOC at the base camp in Cu Chi or Tay Ninh where they decided if the target was friend or foe.  If the target was to be fired upon, TOC also determined which gun battery would be used.  Sometimes it was a battery at our camp, or a battery at another FSB.

We were based at Go Dau Ha on 2 different occasions and from there we were able to "see" into Cambodia at the Angel's Wing.  It was incredible how much movement we detected just across the border, and they moved about without any apparent concern of being watched.  They knew they were relatively safe.  Of course, that all changed in May of 1970, which was about a month after I left the country.

Occasionally, we would detect movement approaching the border from the Cambodian side and then just disappear.  Sometimes we would pick them up again a mile or two away later in the night.  Then we gave them some trouble.

To keep this in balance, I also should add that many of the targets we detected and reported were, indeed, fired on.  It was almost always an artillery mission, but I do recall having helicopter gunships involved a few times.  These targets, of course, were out in the open.  Most were just a string of troops trudging along in the dark.  The number of troops in group was usually somewhere between 6 and 20.  Occasionally we had something unusual such as the time we caught a 3-wheel Lambretta motoring down the highway (highway one,  I think) towards Go Dau Ha.  He was moving ammo, as it turned out.  Since it was moving fairly fast, an AH-1 Cobra was called in.  It was quite a show.

The radar system we used was the AN/TPS-25.  It was an incredible system for its time.  It had both a scope and doppler based audio.  Targets returned unique sounds.  People sounded much different than a vehicle.  I read somewhere that this radar system was still being used during Gulf 1, although not as a primary unit.  I think the maximum range was something like 11 miles (vehicles) and much less for people.  Range was nearly always limited by terrain and vegetation.  We were eventually issued an 84 foot tower (14 6-foot sections) to raise the antenna and increase range a bit.  The sections were collapsible.  We hated it, of course.
